What is the difference between "K9 B&B” and other places where dog owners can leave their dog?

At "K9 B&B" visiting dogs will be treated like family pets - no kennels but lots of cuddles, company of other dogs, playtime, time to rest, physical exercises as well as mental stimulation etc.

What are the conditions to leave my dog at "K9 B&B”?

Visiting dogs need to get along well with other dogs (which will be assessed beforehand).

They also have to be house trained because they will be inside as well.

Dog owners will be required to bring proof of current vaccinations, the dog(s) need to be on flea/tick treatment, e.g. Frontline or similar and should be wormed regularly.

"K9 B&B" can not accommodate bitches in season. Thanks for understanding.

What do I need to bring for my dog’s stay at "K9 B&B”?

Dog owners are asked to bring the food their dog is used to eat to avoid tummy upsets (we can provide our special diet on request), also food bowl, a familiar dog bed, a favourite toy, collar/leash or “Halti”, reward treats - if any specific treats are used - and a list of commands the dog is used to.

Maybe an old T-shirt of yours with your smell on it to make your dog feel more at home.

If the dog needs medication it should be supplied as well in the correct amount for the duration of the dog’s stay.

What happens if my dog needs medical attention during his/her stay?

Dog Owners are asked to leave the contact details of their dog’s vet with "K9 B&B". In case of an urgent emergency we will take the dog to the closest vet surgery if the dog’s usual vet is too far away.

What are the costs and how do I book my dog(s) in?

The day care / holiday care rate is very competitive – please ask for detailed information.

The rates are day rates regardless of drop-off or pick-up time.

A minimum booking of 5 days applies for the Christmas period between December 24th to January 11th.

During other periods dogs can be booked in for regular day care, for “sleep-overs” only, for a couple of days, long weekends or for longer periods.

You will get the "K9 B&B” Terms and Conditions in writing and you will need to sign a prepared form stating all details and permissions required for your dog’s stay.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Once you decide to book your dog in a deposit of 30% of the total agreed charge is due together with the confirmation form. A booking is only confirmed once the deposit is received.

The rest of the agreed charge is due 21 days prior to your dog's stay. Please ask for detailed information.

For regular day care you can pre-pay either weekly or monthly.

What if I have to cancel?

For short stays dog owners are required to give at least 24 hours notice, otherwise one full day’s rate will apply.

Cancellation prior to 21 days of the booking start date:
A credit of the full amount paid less an administration fee will be refunded directly into the dog owners account.

Please note: administration fee is one full day's rate.

Cancellations within 21 days of the booking start date:
A credit of 50% of the total agreed charge will be refunded to the dog owners account.

Once the stay has commenced cancellations (e.g. early pick-ups) are not credited.

Can I get to know the place where my dog will be staying before leaving it there?

Yes, of course ! Sabina from "K9 B&B” encourages interested dog owners, who would like to leave their dog at the “B&B”, to meet her and her dog at one of the local off-leash parks to let the dogs ‘meet and greet’ and play.

A second meeting at "K9 B&B” will then take place at the dog owners convenience a bit later to give the dog and you, the owner, the opportunity to see where the dog will be staying.

Please feel free to ask as many questions as you like as we would like to make you feel as assured as possible that your dog will be well cared for.
